How Much Should My APS Score Be?

Your APS score is based on your Matric pass level. The Matric pass levels are as follows:

  1. Bachelor`s Degree
  2. The highest Matric pass is a bachelor's degree, which is the greatest method to pass. Numerous pupils who receive distinctions typically pass their bachelor's degree.

    The following criteria must be met in order to pass for a bachelor's degree:

    • Obtain 40% in your Home Language subject
    • Obtain 50% in four other Higher Credit subjects
    • Obtain 30% in two other subjects
    • Total APS = 23
  3. Diploma
  4. The following criteria must be met in order to receive this certificate:

    • Obtain 40% for your Home Language
    • Obtain 40% for four other High Credit subjects
    • Obtain 30% for two other subjects
    • Total APS = 19
  5. Higher Certificate
  6. Students are able to enroll in a college or online learning program with a Higher Certificate Pass.

    The following criteria must be met in order to receive this certificate:

    • Obtain 40% in your Home Language
    • Obtain 40% in two other subjects
    • 30% in three other subjects
    • Total APS = 15
